Dear Friends of VMPC,

The Veterans’ Memorial Project Committee (VMPC) cordially invites you:  We are recruiting for a project entitled Friends of VMPC..  This unique “Friends Club” is not a commitment for a full time volunteer job, nor is it a committee appointment, but rather an offer from you to assist on specific short-term projects.

For example:  On November 11th, Veterans Day  we had  a short program.  Early that morning, volunteers will beautify the border of the Memorial with small American Flags.   Chairs need to be placed for our guests and sometimes the senior Veterans need some gentle assistance getting to their seat.  Fellowship is key. After the ceremony, the Flags need to be collected and placed in their box until next time.

An ongoing initiative - “Pavers” are available for purchase. You may visit our website for more information.  Here is an opportunity to honor a Veteran, currently serving, retired or deceased with a laser engraved paver placed at the Memorial.  Donate an engraved paver to memorialize your friend or loved one who answered the call to unselfishly serve our country.  This engraved Paver initiative is a continuing effort for a modest source of revenue for the Veterans’ Memorial At Pendleton Park.  Paver applications and additional information are available  on this website.

You are cordially  invited to attend our meetings.  We convene almost every month on the 3rd Thursday at 5pm and you may contact us to confirm the meeting date, time and location.  Contact any Committee officer by email or phone and you will receive a friendly reminder regarding meetings and events at the Memorial.  We also have a booth at Jackson Street Market Days.  Come see us.

Thanking you in advance and we welcome you join the club! Please contact us via email by clicking
and we will be in touch with you soon!.
